We’ll begin the day with a journey aboard a historic train lovingly maintained by local Czech enthusiasts. Our destination is the charming spa town of Mšeno. From there, we’ll travel through the village of Sedlec and the picturesque Kočičina Valley, eventually reaching the scenic Kokořínský Důl (Kokořín Valley). There, depending on time, we might stop for lunch at the legendary U Grobiána restaurant.
In the afternoon, our adventure continues toward the majestic Kokořín Castle, the nearby rock plateau, and the unique Pokličky sandstone formations. We’ll conclude the trip with a peaceful walk through the forested landscape, passing rock formations on our way back to the train station in Mšeno.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
We recommend comfortable hiking or running shoes, some water, fully charged phone, warm and waterproof clothes in case of raining. Whether we have time for a meal depends on the group’s speed – it is highly recommended to have snacks for the whole day with you.
MEETING PLACE AND TIME
At 8:15 a.m. outside the Main train station (Hlavní nádraží), in the park Vrchlického sady in front of Wilsonka pub. We return to Prague around 7 p.m.
DIFFICULTY
The hike is of intermediate difficulty. The route is 16 km long, with short uphills. Check out our Hiking Difficulty Scale for more information about the difficulty of the hike.
FEE
Early bird price: 650 CZK per person, after 2 Aug: 700 CZK per person. The fee includes services of the skilled and friendly guide (excludes food, drinks, insurance).

For a full refund, cancel at least 72 hours in advance of the start date of the trip. For a 50 % refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the trip.
