A lovely trip through the Beroun area that will allow you to enjoy the beautiful forest parts of Czech Karst and a heartwarming wandering along the Berounka river surrounded by the majestic rock walls.
This time, we will take you on a very calm and short walk that is suitable for all those who are just discovering the beauties of hiking. Although experienced hikers will be satisfied with the hike as well. And of course we cannot forget about your four legged buddies that are also welcome.
We will start the hike in Karlštejn, then we will continue on forest paths until we reach the Berounka river in the town of Srbsko. We will follow it upstream to the picturesque cliffs on top of which you can find one of the oldest settlement in the country – Tetín. Tetín offers a beautiful view of Berounka valley, Beroun town and a rock climbing area that lies beneath it. Afterwards we descend to the town of Beroun where we will rest in a local brewery where everyone can enjoy great food and beer.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
Comfortable hiking shoes are a must. We recommend some water, fully charged phone, warm and waterproof clothes and an extra pair of socks in case of raining or snowing. We will finish the hike in a local brewery where everyone can enjoy great food and beer.
MEETING PLACE AND TIME
At 9:00 a.m. outside the Main train station (Hlavní nádraží), in the park Vrchlického sady in front of Potrefená husa pub. We should be back in Prague around 5 p.m. However, the exact return time depends on the group’s speed of walking.
DIFFICULTY
The hike is hard. The route is 13 km long, with many uphillsm downhills and stairs. Check out our Hiking Difficulty Scale for more information about the difficulty of the hike.
FEE
Early bird price: 450 CZK per person, after 25 March: 500 CZK per person. The fee includes transportation by train and services of the skilled and friendly guide (excludes food, drinks, insurance).

For a full refund, cancel at least 72 hours in advance of the start date of the trip. For a 50 % refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the trip.
